OUR STORY

Founded in 2020, I2Pure's vision for the potential applications of molecular iodine knows few boundaries. We believe, when properly used, molecular iodine has the potential to change the way global societies think about:

  • Global water disinfection for cost-effective, cleaner drinking water worldwide
  • Food and produce cleaning and preservation

  • Industrial cleaning applications, such as surface disinfectants and clean-in-place solutions

I2Pure is on a positive growth tragectory. We have made great strides toward achieving our vision of impacting global health and biosafety opportunities through our patented, non-toxic molecular iodine platform.

Directing our scientific endeavors is one of the few chemists in history to have dedicated his career to the study of molecular iodine - Dr. Jack Kessler, PhD. Over a span of 40+ years, Dr. Kessler has been a world leader in understanding molecular iodine and formulating novel ways to deliver high levels of molecular iodine in a manner that is non-toxic and non-staining.

Our mission is clear and simple: Preventing pathogenic threats to the world.

To achieve this mission, I2Pure has developed iodine technologies (I2-core) that can be used across virtually every facet of surgical and therapeutic interaction with human or animal tissue to prevent infection.

Infinitely flexible, I2Pure molecular iodine solutions can be delivered via liquids, solids, semi-solids, polymers and coatings and can be extended into medical devices, antisepsis, cosmetics, water safety, food safety and preservation, industrial cleaning, aquaculture and more.

Helping to shape the direction of product offerings is a leadership team with significant global experience in industrial, healthcare and defense industries, among others. Individuals passionate about the pursuit of I2Pure's mission and vision are present at all levels of our company.

OUR WORLDCLASS SCIENTISTS

Our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Kessler continues his ground-breaking work on the use of iodine to improve the world. His chemistry focuses molecular iodine’s natural biocidal properties on the cellular destabilization and subsequent eradication of pathogens. His formulations are at the heart of several ground-breaking products already used by the dental and agricultural industries.

Our Chief Scientist, Dr. Ilker Bayer, PhD. has extensive experience in functional coatings, hybrid nanomaterials, controlled drug release technologies and bio-based polymer composites for applications in biomedical engineering. He was a researcher in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering departments at the University of Illinois and University of Virginia, and a longtime research scientist at the Italian Institute of Technology.

ADVISORS

I2Pure’s Advisory teams ensures that I2Pure's clinical development is informed by the realities of surgical and hospital practice — not just laboratory findings. Our advisors are active participants in clinical development, not nominal names on a letterhead. They engage directly with licensing partners and hospital systems during clinical evaluation processes, and with I2Pure’s scientific and manufacturing teams during product development.

BOARD

I2Pure’s Board brings sector experience across healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, and commercial licensing. They manage I2Pure’s active licensing pipeline, investor engagement, and the day-to-day commercial operations that translate scientific credibility into market presence.
